Youth Employment Program

This program offers a free 10-week Our employment program helps teens secure paid summer jobs and internships so they may gain valuable work experience, explore various career options and develop the sense of pride that comes with a job well- done. Youth are placed with a variety of local employers & programs including local hospitals, summer day camp, community gardens and more.

The goal of the program is to provide Camden City residents with the skills needed to obtain employment and begin a life of self-sufficiency. Since 2000, the Job Readiness & Employment Program has resulted in over 200 adults successfully obtaining employment.

Job Readiness Training includes:

• Resume Writing
• Interview Preparation
• Appropriate Workplace Attire
• Conflict Resolution & More

Employment Placement includes:

• Advisors to help with job leads and the application process
• Post-employment placement counseling services for one year

Requirements for Participation:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Photo I.D. - Valid Driver's License
• Commitment to work & participate in job readiness training sessions
