Literacy Program
Mary Esther Williams Homework Centers
This afterschool program provides daily tutoring in reading & math, homework help, and preparation for the NJ ASK test for students grades K-6. In addition to academics, the program offers character education, substance abuse prevention & nutrition education, along with physical fitness activities to promote healthy choices.
Anna B. Clark Summer Day Camp
This four-week summer enrichment camp offers math, science & language arts skill-building, hands-on learning, physical fitness & nutrition and fun field trips for students grades K-6. Students engage in fun, interactive activities so they can strengthen their math & reading skills, while having fun and making friends.

College Prep Program
This program offers a free 10-week Kaplan SAT test prep course for Camden City & Camden County high school juniors, along with financial aid & college admissions workshops to help students successfully pursue a college education. Classes are held at Rutgers– Camden and UMDNJ-Stratford Campuses. Additional activities include career exploration, financial literacy, life skill development workshops and community service activities to help foster leadership, confidence & success.

Youth Employment
This program offers a free 10-week Our employment program helps teens secure paid summer jobs and internships so they may gain valuable work experience, explore various career options and develop the sense of pride that comes with a job well- done. Youth are placed with a variety of local employers & programs including local hospitals, summer day camp, community gardens and more.

Your Food Shelf
Since 1980, Your Food Shelf food pantry has been helping low-income seniors and families in our community avoid hunger. The program provides emergency food bags that contain enough food for a typical family of four to eat three meals a day for three days. In addition to emergency food, families are able to receive clothing, toiletries and household items as needed. Each year, the program helps over 1,500 families avoid hunger.

Community Gardens
Woodland CDC’s community gardens provide fresh produce to Camden families, seniors and children in order to help combat obesity rates and increase access to healthy foods. Teens from Woodland’s youth group help plant, weed, water and harvest the vegetables which are distributed to clients of Your Food Shelf food pantry.
Farmer's Market
The Farmer’s Market program provides fresh, free produce to clients of Your Food Shelf food pantry to address the lack of access to fresh and affordable fruits and vegetables for Camden families and seniors.
